Job Description:
We are assisting our Irving, TX client in a search for a MSR Trade Support Assistant. This position is responsible for assisting the EVP of Capital Markets in closing and funding Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSR) portfolios. The successful candidate will be proficient in preparing funding calculations and coordinating all aspects of servicing settlement and transfer. They will also be responsible for providing communication, operations support and coordination among internal departments, brokers and MSR sellers.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the settlement, funding and transfer of MSR transactions as they occur.
  • Work with internal department staff and third-party sellers and brokers to facilitate operational coordination for closing and transferring MSR’s.
  • Prepare detailed funding schedules and reconciliations to assure that funds are provided timely and balance accurately.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in organizing operational meetings, coordinating and following up on transaction details as required.
  • Support internal department needs and requirements as well as third party external business partners.
  • Demonstrate behaviors that are aligned with the organizations desired culture and core values.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience in mortgage industry capital markets.
  • Knowledge and understanding of mortgage loan characteristics and terminology, especially as it relates to mortgage servicing.
  • Attention to detail, high level of accuracy and ability to review self-created work.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively work across multiple departments and with external business partners.
  • Excellent computer skills, especially in MS Excel and Word.
  • Ability to effectively problem solve.
  • Ability to work within strict deadlines.
